My brother saw fit to leave God's country and move to the Land of the Chippewa. One of the side benefits to this is each Christmas, I receive a large package of wild rice....

Stir-Fried Wild Rice with Vegetables

1/2 cup wild rice
4-6 green onions
2 stalks celery
1 clove garlic
1 cup bean sprouts
2 cups fresh spinach
soy sauce
pepper
ginger

Simmer, covered 1/2 cup wild rice & 1 1/2 cup boiling water.
Saute sliced garlic in about 3 tbsp. vegetable oil (1 dollop) for 5 minutes
Drain rice.

Stir-fry onions and chopped celery for about 5 minutes;
add sprouts, rice, 2 tsp. soy sauce, ginger and black pepper to taste,
stir-fry another 5 minutes or so (until you have the veggies the way you like 'em).

Stir in spinach and cook till warm enough to eat.
