Washing Spinach

My method requires a LARGE bowl.
Put the spinach in the bowl, add cold water to cover.
Swish the spinach around a bit and lift it out of the bowl into another bowl.
Dump the water, which by now should have a good bit of dirt in it.
Rinse the bowl.
Put the spinach back in, add water, swish, etc.
Sometimes it takes three or four rinsings to do it,
but it is more effective than doing each leaf under the spigot.
