spacer Standard Creole Sauce

These have very little to do with the subject of the one, true BBQ, however:
#1: (Barbeque Sauce Recipe)
(for chicken, seafood, etc.)

#2 - Standard Creole Sauce
Printer version of this recipe

1 quart cooking oil (use a good one - but not olive oil)
1 whole pod of garlic - chopped
6 stalks of celery - chopped
2 pounds onion - chopped
4 or 5 bell pepper - chopped
1 pt. water
salt & pepper to taste

Cook all the above for a couple of hours then add:

1 lb margarine
6 oz jar of yellow mustard
14 oz bottle of chili sauce
juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons worchestershire
couple of oz's Tabasco sauce (one of the small
bottles - I don't remember the size. The one on
my stove is the 12-oz'er)
another quart of water

Cook for another hour or so.

You can eat this as soup or baste it on anything you want to cook.
