This is from my ancient (10th Edition) Fanny Farmer:
Mint Sauce - Barbara's
Printer version of this recipe

Heat together:
1/2 cup mild vinegar
1/4 cup sugar

Pour over:
1/2 cup chopped mint leaves (no stems)

Let stand one hour or more. If you like a sweeter sauce, add more sugar.

Makes about 1/2 cup.
