We have a wonderful German butcher here. Once, a while back, I bought some hot Italian sausage there... then, didn't know what to do with it. I was talking to my friend Ganni who is a professor of theater at the University of Malta, and asked him what to do with it... he said... make this stew. Ganni's Italian Sausage Stew Saute the sausage with onion and pepper.... of course! Then, I was instructed to add all the fresh vegetables to make stew The trick to this stew is the spice: I have added these spices to other stews and soups.... wonderful anywhere you use it "in context".
