spacer How to Make a Cuban Sangwich

Finally! Things seem to be beginning to oscillate back to near normal - first the financial markets re-open and now - a food thread!

I was planning on a salad for lunch, but am reconsidering . . . .

Yes, my cholesterol has been a bit puny lately. My particular "health" special is an Eggplant Parmesan sub when here in NY. Good sandwiches are tougher to find in Lower Alabama, though down by Mom (near Tampa) the Cuban's are enough to die for.... you have to have real Cuban bread though - they bake it in these old brick ovens and brush the rolls with water to make the crust just perfect....or at least that's what I was told.

I can do you the Cuban Roast Pork. Ya'll gotta find your own Cuban bread....

Now you got roast pork. To make the sanguwich:

1. Chill the meat and then slice - thin.
2. Three or so slices of pork, plus baked ham, salami (Genoa), swiss cheese.
3. Place in Cuban roll, battered liberally w/ mayonnaise & Durkee's...

Really hungry now....!
