spacer Chocolate Troeffels

Hey Folks
Last night someone in the chatroom asked me for the recipe for home made Chocolate troeffels. They are good, they are "almost" sinful :o), and they are definitely not low fat.

The recipe is a Danish one I have translated, so the measurements are in Liters, however I have given approximate measurements in Cups next to it.

Printer version of this recipe

Ingredients:
200 Gram Dark Bitter sweet Chocolate with a high contents of coco
(but dont use the 70% coco bars, they are way too bitter)
1 DL Whipping Cream, just below one half cup
4 CL Grand Marnier or other fruit Liquer. Just below one quarter cup
30 Gram soft unsalted butter. Make the butter really soft.
This is just less of 3 tablespoons
Dark coco for decoration

Chop the Chocolate finely.
Make the whipping Cream boil then pour over the chopped chocolate
and stir slowly and carefully to make the chocolate melt.
Once the chocolate is melted and stirred together with the cream
add in the Liquer and stir well.
Finally whip in the butter.
Let the chocolate mass rest in the fridge for an hour or longer before
forming little rolls and roll them in the coco.

Enjoy :o)
