Beer Bread
Printer version of this recipe

3 cups of self-rising flour*
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 12 ounce can of beer at room temperature

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Spread mixture into a greased and floured 8" loaf pan and bake at 375F for 35 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when poked into the loaf.

This is good served warm or toasted, but doesn't store well, so it's best to make only one loaf at a time.

*You can add 1 1/2 tablespoons of baking POWDER and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to three cups of flour if you don't have self-rising flour.
