Bean Soup
Printer version of this recipe

Any bean soup recipe will do, ths one I usually do with lentils.

In a Crock Pot soak overnight:
1 lb Beans in 7 c Water

In the morning add: 2 Onions - chopped (I used 2 handfuls of dehydrated onion)
1 Large Carrot - chopped
1 stalk Celery (1 handful of dehydrated)
1 clove Garlic (1 tb of the kind you get in jars)
1 t Worcestershire Sauce
1 t Caraway Seed

Cook 3 hours at High then 12 or more at Low

An hour or two before you want to serve it, dump about half in a blender and puree it.

Just before serving add: 1 c Sour Cream

For non-vegetarians I add a bowl of (Real!) Bacon Bits for Garnish.
