[My brother sent this recipe to me, after I shared w/him Fr Eric's sweet potato one.
Hope this contribution can balance out any contribution I've made to vitriolic
threads in recent days Apple Cheese Crisp Filling Topping Makes 6 servings. Preheat the oven to 325° F. Peel, core and slice the apples into a buttered 8-inch square baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the sugars, rind, cardamom and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the apples and mix with your hands. Sprinkle the water or cider and lemon juice over the apples. In a medium bowl, combine all the topping ingredients and mix to a crumbly consistency. Pat over the apples. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the mixture is golden brown and bubbles up in the center. Serve warm with cream. From Heartland, Marcia Adams, 1991. Date: Fri, 26 Nov 1999From: Juliann Tarsney Subject: Recipe: Apple Cheese Crisp |
