One web site I looked at seems to say it's pretty simple
to make acorns palatable

One recipe I found suggested:
Acorn Pancakes

Printer version of this recipe

2/3 cup acorn meal,
1/3 cup AP flour,
1 tsp powder,
1/3 tsp salt,
1Tbsp honey,
3/4 cup milk,
one egg, and
3 Tbsp melted butter for pancakes.

I'll try them tonight and tell you how they turned out.
