St. Sam's and St. Bede's Recipe Pages Bon Appetit! --------------------------------------------- Recipe for One Cobbler. 12 oz. or slightly larger can of pie-filling fruit 1 standard cake mix 1 gallon size plastic bag 2 oz. cooking oil or butter Preheat cast iron dutch oven in coals from campfire. Light 28 charcoal briquets if you do not have sufficient coals in the open fire. Pour cake mix and fruit (with all juices) into the plastic bag. Close and mix well. Take dutch oven from heat. Pour in cooking oil or butter. Roll oil over bottom and sides. Pour in the cake mix and fruit. Set the dutch oven over 14 briquets. Cover. Put other briquets on lid. Let cook for 25 minutes.
