St. Sam's and St. Bede's Recipe Pages Bon Appetit! --------------------------------------------- Glogg - Mimi's 10 cardamom seeds 5 whole cloves 1 cinnamon stick 3 strips candied orange peel All of the above tied in cheese cloth 1 bottle Aquavit 1 bottle red wine 1 cup blanched almonds 1 cup raisins Combine all of the above in a kettle and slowly heat to boiling point. Place 1/2 lb sugar cubes in a long handled sieve. Dip into hot liquid and set fire to the sugar cubes. Continue dipping until sugar is dissolved. (Purists set the liquid on fire and lade it over the sugar cubes. After too many burned knuckles I adopted the other method.) Cover the kettle to put out the fire.
