St. Sam's and St. Bede's Recipe Pages Bon Appetit! --------------------------------------------- Aunt Gusty Biscuits Small pan (flat 1 qt Corning pan or enough to top meat pie) 1 1/4 cup flour, 3/4 t salt, 2 t baking powder Large pan (9 x 9) 2 cups flour, 1 t salt, 4 t baking powder Add enough milk to make a shiny, sticky dough. Stir as little as possible. Melt some butter or margarine in the bottom of the pan, spread dough out to edges, score into squares, brush top with more butter. It will take about 2 T butter for the small pan, more for the large pan. Bake at 425º until brown (about 20 - 25 minutes). This can be varied by adding herbs, grated cheese, caraway seeds or other flavorings. Date: Sat, 03 Aug 2002 From: Susan Hagen Subject: RE: Weetabix/muffins from cereal
