St. Sam's and St. Bede's Recipe Pages Bon Appetit! --------------------------------------------- Apple Crisp 1. Peel, core and slice up five or six big Granny Smith apples. Put them in a baking dish with 1/4 c water. 2. Mix topping: 3/4 c flour 1/2 c brown sugar 1/2 c white sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 stick butter (I do this in a little food processor, but if the butter is softened you can do it in a mixer or by hand) 3. Spread topping over apples. Cover. Bake at 350 deg F. One half hour covered, one half hour uncovered. Let cool (if you can stand to wait). Bliss! -Mary From: Mary Thorpe
